I’m Simone, an experienced UKCP Registered Psychotherapist with 20 years’ experience. I work with adults who want to make sense of their experiences, reduce emotional distress, and build a life that feels more authentic and sustainable.
I believe therapy works best when it's grounded in understanding - not just what brings you here, but who you are, how you've survived, and what you need to feel safe enough to change.
Since 2005, I’ve worked across NHS services, voluntary organisations, and private practice. I established my own practice in 2009 and now work exclusively with adults navigating a wide range of emotional, relational, and mental health challenges.
I specialise in neurodivergent-affirming therapy for autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD adults, bringing both professional training and lived experience. I understand the realities of masking, burnout, emotional intensity, and the journey of late diagnosis or self-identification.
I also engage in continuous professional development - not just because it’s required, but because I care deeply about offering thoughtful, informed, and effective therapy.
I work collaboratively and attentively, paying close attention to how your nervous system, attachment patterns, and past experiences shape present-day challenges. Being trauma-informed means I recognise the complex impact of trauma and the ways people have learned to cope. I work gently and respectfully, never pathologising your coping strategies.
Together we'll explore your emotions, patterns, relationships, and responses to life. Through this process, you'll reconnect with your own wisdom and strengthen self-trust. We'll work on boundaries and softening your inner critic, supporting you in developing a kinder, steadier relationship with yourself. Some clients benefit from practical tools; others from space to process and make sense of their experiences - many find a blend of both helpful.
I draw on Attachment and Polyvagal Theory, CBT, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness-Based Approaches, Psychoeducation, Schema Therapy, and Relational Transactional Analysis - all within a trauma-informed framework.
Through our work, you'll gain clarity about your needs, develop effective coping strategies, and create meaningful, sustainable change that supports your wellbeing.
